NOMINATION: Luminary - State and Territory
The Luminary Awards seek to honour individuals and organisations who, through sustained contribution (demonstrated over a period 3-5 years prior), have impacted their communities on a state or territory level through visionary leadership, fearless trailblazing, high-level artistic practice, and championing of Australian repertoire.
Nominations for individuals should demonstrate a program of activities or a range of projects rather than (for example) the recording and release of a single album. Nominations for a single work or project should be made in the Work of the Year or Excellence categories.
If you believe you are nominated in the wrong category or the details of your nomination to be incorrect, please contact the AMC via email at awards@australianmusiccentre.com.au before proceeding with the nomination.

Adam Page is a singular voice in new improvised music and a central unifying figure in the Adelaide creative music sector crossing chamber and jazz scenes and collaborating widely.
Renowned as a leading tenor saxophonist across Australia, as well as a quirky multi-instrumentalist solo performer, composer of serious acclaim, music educator and record producer, Page has also carved his path internationally whilst always championing the South Australian music sector. He has written major works for the New Zealand Symphony Orchestra, Orchestra Wellington and the Adelaide Symphony Orchestra and has appeared at Glastonbury (UK), WOMADelaide, WOMAD NZ, The Big Day Out, The Edinburgh, Adelaide, Melbourne and Perth Fringe Festivals, The Sydney International Arts Festival, The Blue Mountains Music Festival, The Port Fairy Folk Festival and the Melbourne and Wellington International Jazz Festivals.
Page's musical collaborations stretch far and wide, performing with artists and groups such as The Australian String Quartet, Tim Finn, Slava Grigoryan, The Grigoryan Brothers, Noel Gallagher, Katie Noonan, Riki Gooch, Jamie MacDowell and Tom Thum, Emma Pask, Ross Irwin, Ben Todd, The Shaolin Afronauts, 1.1 Immermann, Ross McHenry, Thomas Oliver, The Adelaide Sax Pack, Darren Percival, Mal Webb, Lisa Tomlins and the late Dr. Chandrakant Sardeshmukh. Adams commitment to the South Australian music sector is exemplary across all aspects of his performing career. One highlight is in 2014, Page co-founded Adelaide's 'Wizard Tone Studios' recording studio and in 2015 launched the boutique record label Wizard Tone Records. This label and studio have single handedly lifted up the entire SA jazz sector providing both space and support for new music to thrive in South Australia.
More recently Adam has completed a major new collaboration with Australian Dance Theatre representing his extraordinary ability to adapt to new creative situations with leading collaborators.
In addition to his significant artistic achievements Adam is a warm, infectious, loving and kind musician and a mentor to all in his circle, including many many young and emerging artists not a single person in the world of creative music has a bad word to say about him. It is not an understatement to say that the Adelaide music sector would be at a loss without him. His energy, enthusiasm and prolific musical output touches every aspect of South Australias creative music scene.
He is incredibly deserving of this recognition. Ask anyone in Adelaide and they will tell you the same. Call the ASO, call ASQ, call COMA, call the conservatorium, call any music school, call any musician from age 15 -105....they will all tell you, Adam is the best of us and Adelaide simply would not be the place it is without him.
