The 2024 Hand Unmade program curated a diverse program of five world premieres, each pushing the boundaries of artistic practice. WeiZen Hos The Subtle Beings Emergence offered a poignant exploration of cultural memory, reimagining a Rungus dance ritual through a contemporary lens. The works interdisciplinary nature, incorporating movement, material, and sound, created a deeply immersive and thought-provoking experience. Nikki Johnsons Bread Touch explored the often-unheard sonic world within everyday objects, inviting the audience to reconsider their relationship with sound and texture. The piece's intimate and tactile nature blurred the lines between performer and audience, creating a shared sensory experience.
