NOMINATION: Luminary - State and Territory
The Luminary Awards seek to honour individuals and organisations who, through sustained contribution (demonstrated over a period 3-5 years prior), have impacted their communities on a state or territory level through visionary leadership, fearless trailblazing, high-level artistic practice, and championing of Australian repertoire.
Nominations for individuals should demonstrate a program of activities or a range of projects rather than (for example) the recording and release of a single album. Nominations for a single work or project should be made in the Work of the Year or Excellence categories.
If you believe you are nominated in the wrong category or the details of your nomination to be incorrect, please contact the AMC via email at awards@australianmusiccentre.com.au before proceeding with the nomination.

Nominator Statement
Offbeat Collective is a vital force in the New South Wales music landscape, providing essential infrastructure, advocacy, and artist development programs that have significantly impacted the local creative community. Founded in Sydney, Offbeat has supported hundreds of emerging artists by offering accessible studio spaces, industry mentorship, and opportunities to develop and release music.
At a time when independent artists are being priced out of creative spaces, Offbeat has prioritised affordability, providing extensive free and low-cost studio access for women, trans, and non-binary artists. This has ensured that diverse voices remain part of NSWs thriving music ecosystem. Offbeat has also been a key advocate for securing long-term creative spaces in the state, with Jannah Beth representing artists as an ARIA Board Observer and contributing to the Creative Land Trust Peer Advisory Group to push for sustainable solutions.
Programs such as One Off Traks, an all-female, trans, and non-binary songwriting camp, have been instrumental in fostering new Australian music within NSW. Many camp participants are local artists who have gone on to release new works and gain industry recognition, reinforcing the states reputation as a leader in contemporary music.
Offbeats artist-first approach has not only strengthened the careers of individual musicians but has also contributed to a more equitable and sustainable future for the NSW music scene. Its work directly aligns with the values of the State/Territory Luminary Award, making it a deserving recipient.
