Nominator Statement
The performance of Clocks and Clouds was a personal highlight for me at the Cut Paste Play Festival in March 2024. Kraig Grady, Terumi Narushima and Jariss Sheads performance on a variety of specially tuned, unique instruments was a wonderful experience of resonance and harmonics. Its hard to completely capture in recording the striking way that the resonances of these instruments and pieces fill the room and create an array of audio effects in the space, so seeing this live was really special. Their skilled ensemble performance and gentle sense of theatre really brought these striking instruments and compositions to life.
