A work is defined as a single complete musical composition, or expression. This includes music with movements or sub-works (i.e. song cycles), installations, and real-time compositions (improvised music).

Nominator Statement
For this concert at Jazz Lab, Lara Bello delivered two exquisite sets of her original music, conveying the music of her hometown of Granada, Spain. Flamenco, Arabic melodies and Mediterranean roots were masterfully fused with African and Latin American rhythms. Her delivery of each piece was powerful and effortlessly captivated the listener, taking them on a journey through different landscapes.
The performance of her piece, 'Bambu', nominated here uses the Colombian Bambuco rhythm, combined with intricate melodies and harmonies.
