NOMINATION: Luminary - State and Territory
The Luminary Awards seek to honour individuals and organisations who, through sustained contribution (demonstrated over a period 3-5 years prior), have impacted their communities on a state or territory level through visionary leadership, fearless trailblazing, high-level artistic practice, and championing of Australian repertoire.
Nominations for individuals should demonstrate a program of activities or a range of projects rather than (for example) the recording and release of a single album. Nominations for a single work or project should be made in the Work of the Year or Excellence categories.
If you believe you are nominated in the wrong category or the details of your nomination to be incorrect, please contact the AMC via email at awards@australianmusiccentre.com.au before proceeding with the nomination.

Nominee
Nat Bartsch
Nominated Project/Activity
Advocacy for neurodiversity in music
State/Territory
Victoria
Nominator Statement
Nat has been a staunch advocate of neurodiversity in music. Diagnosed late with autism and ADHD, Nat has made it a mission to help make the music industry more welcoming and accessible for neurodivergent creators. The launch of her neurodivergent artist meet-ups across Melbourne in 2024 welcomed members from across the music industry and facilitated community, connection, and visibility for neurodiverse music creators and workers.
Nat's also used her platform as the keynote speaker for the Peggy Glanville-Hicks Address for advocacy, sharing practical ways of how the music community can be more accessible for neurodiverse creators.
All the while, Nat has been instrumental in educating and influencing the music community to adopt ways of being more accessible for neurodiverse participants, such as the allocation of a 'quiet space' within venues, and a 'social story' as part of pre-event communications.
Nat's ethos is also reflected within the substance of her own music output, as well the work of her record label, Amica Records, which focuses on the production of 'kind music'.
